The MRO Agreement provides predictability in the cost of medical evidence and streamlines the recovery of costs for medical reports in personal injury claims. The agreement facilitates direct billing to insurers for medical reports, allowing third party insurers to pay medical fees directly for Orthopaedic, A & E and GP reports where damages are less than £15,000, excluding soft tissue injury claims brought under the MoJ’s Pre-Action Protocol for Low Value Personal Injury Claims in Road Traffic Accidents (MedCo).

In accordance with the Pre-Action Protocol for low value personal injury claims in road traffic accidents, all initial medical reports must be obtained through the MedCo portal. Our extensive MedCo panel is 100% accredited and offers complete coverage of England and Wales, ensuring we can provide the right expert in the right place in the shortest possible time.

Our dedicated fast track (Non-MedCo) team is able to access an extensive panel of experts across a wide range of disciplines throughout England and Wales.

Mobile Doctors have invested in technology to ensure that we are fully compliant with judicial processes which enables insurers, claimant lawyers and compensators to exchange claim related documentation, including medical reports.

We recognise the special care needed for cases of a more complex nature so we have developed a bespoke service to take care of clinical negligence, multi track and catastrophic injury cases.

Our case managers have years of experience as account handlers within Mobile Doctors. For such cases where typically damages will exceed £25,000 and the case process period will be longer, our team will ensure that each file is handled individually with the service being tailored to the specific requirements of each case.

  • You will be updated at each stage of the medical process which will ensure that the best possible solution is delivered
  • You will receive 2 years extended credit on all medical fees and services

Following the initial examination the Medical Examiner may need more information or recommend further diagnostics for the client. These could cover a wide variety of requirements such as:

We have recently introduced a Records Portal for you to upload claimants records to. This technology allows records to be uploaded with ease. All you need to access the Portal is a unique link that you will receive in our request email, and the Claimant’s date of birth.

The link is encrypted so all medical documents you upload are delivered securely and safely to our web server. Due to the encryption of the link, there’s no need to remember any username and password.

No data is held on the Records Portal itself, so once uploaded, it’s transferred directly onto our case management system.

The additional benefits of using our Records Portal are:

  • No costly and time consuming copying of records
  • No lost records
  • No long postal delays
